Kimiko McMillan

Kimiko studied Printmaking at the Art Student League of New York, where she studied copper plate technology. She later completed a Printmaking MA at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.

Kimiko is a printmaker working mainly in etching and other intaglio processes. Her pictures are very detailed and precise black-and-white images of real life scenes. For her Masters project, she created a series of large etchings of different waterscapes. This series has allowed her to explore and blur the boundary between realistic depiction and abstract form, whilst pushing the limits of what her etching technique can achieve.
