Paul Cleden

Paul works as an iIllustrator and printmaker using a number of printmaking techniqueslino multi block / reduction prints, or more recently a more fluid mixture of collagraph, monoprint and lino etch. The work of artists such as Michael Rothenstein, Edward Bawden, Cyril Power and Lill Tschudi have played a vital part in the development of Paul’s printmaking.

In his illustration work Paul concentrates on children’s book illustration, having worked as a freelance artist in London for a number of years after graduating from Maidstone. He has now begun to incorporate his printmaking into his illustration work. Alongside this, he is a writer of children’s fiction - poems, picture books, and novels.
